An academic specialized in English literature, he completed his undergraduate studies in English literature at the University of Nebraska in Omaha, USA. He also holds a master’s degree from the Department of English Language and Literature at the same university. He completed his PhD and postdoctoral studies at Louisiana State University, where his research focused on the literature of English-speaking Arab immigrants.
